The holiday baking season is starting a little early for me as I have some friends from California I’m seeing this weekend. You see, I make this cranberry cookie that requires sauce made from fresh cranberries so it is available for just a short window each year. Yes, I have tried the variations including:
- canned sauce
- freeze the berries, then make the sauce
- make the sauce, then freeze it
And, yes, none of this works. It puts a touch more water in the sauce which has ruined the cookies each and every time.
