Red, White, Blue and Kraft!

I spent some time organizing my scraps last week and it is really paying off.  Sorted by color and put in a small accordion file – now they are much more user friendly!

I’ve been meaning to get to a few red, white, blue and kraft cards this week for Operation Write Home.  I knew I wanted to punch some hearts out of my newly organized scraps and I really do enjoy making cards with this color combination.

I was also trying to keep in mind Operation Write Home’s Saturday Seminar about focal point while making this card.  This card is actually v2.0 of a card I made a few years ago that completely lacked a focal point.  The old card was scattered hearts on the front with the sentiment.  I think this one is a great improvement on that card.

This is a really cute card! Simple and clean and the triple hearts create a nice focal point. Nice work.
