Top Cards of 2011

I was inspired by Operation Write Home’s post today, so without further ado here are 10 of my favorite cards I made this year.  I won’t say top 10 because if I did I would have to agonize over which 10 those were for way too long…

I like this one because the borders around the two items are photo paper.  Also, it was fun to color!

This one involved one of my favorite techniques – the background is built from scraps and then ran through an embossing folder.

This was one of my favorite Christmas designs this year…because I came up with it all on my own!

This one really was a little piece of art!  Loved the colors and the many layers on this one.

Really, you could put any of my Any Hero cards in this slot!

Mummy girl was so fun and whimsical!

I love sewing on paper!

This one for me had an elegant simplicity about it.

This Easter Bunny really was way too much fun to color!  Love all the bright colors I can use with him.

This was one of my first images colored with Copics and one of the cards I gave the love of my life this year.

Happy New Year to everyone!  I hope 2012 brings you closer to your hopes and dreams.

I really enjoyed seeing your cards! Definitely must try the scraps and embossing folder technique. My favorite is the flower bouquet card with the beautifully-sewn frame. Very simple and nicely done, and I love the colors echoed in the background paper.
